Project Update February 2024 - Construction Starting Soon
Construction will begin soon for the City of Eugene Parks and Open Space’s new community park along River Loop 2.
The work will include construction of the universally accessible playground, picnic shelter, spray playground, sand playground, parking lot, and restroom.
Construction will also include select paths including a 12-foot-wide path connecting Wilkes Drive and River Loop 2 and a pedestrian bridge east of Madison Middle School.
Construction Schedule
Work is tentatively planned for March 2024 through the end of the year. You may see utility crews, such as EWEB, working in the project area in the weeks leading up to the park construction.
Traffic Impacts
Expect traffic delays and street closures during construction. Availability of on-street parking may also be reduced or closed. We apologize for any inconvenience to you during this time.
