River Road - Santa Clara Neighborhood Plan Transportation Update Presentation

• River Road Santa Clara Neighborhood Plan: Adopted by Council in 2024, the Neighborhood Plan establishes a vision and priorities for River Road and Santa Clara neighborhoods.
• Eugene 2035 Transportation System Plan: Identifies citywide goals, strategies, actions and projects to improve the city's transportation systems over the next twenty years. We will begin updating the plan starting in 2027 and have a deadline of adopting the updated plan by December 2029.
• Moving Ahead: City of Eugene and LTD adopted locally preferred alternatives that guide transit investments for five corridors in Eugene, including River Road. Moving Ahead was adopted in 2022 and amended in 2024. The amendment in 2024 changed the alternative on River Road from EmX to Enhanced Corridor.
• Complete Street Design Standards: Design standards that guide how our streets, sidewalks, bikeways, and accessways are built. An update to the 1999 guidelines is slated to be adopted by City Council later in 2026.
• Vision Zero Action Plan: Identifies strategies and actions in pursuit of the goal of zero traffic-related fatalities and life-changing injuries in the city of Eugene by 2035. An updated version was adopted by City Council in 2025.
• Long Range Mobility Plan: Lane Transit District is updating their 20-year mobility plan starting this year. The previous Long Range Transit Plan was adopted in 2014. Public engagement opportunities will be advertised widely starting in 2026.
