Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. The City of Eugene (COE), City of Springfield (COS), Rainbow Water District (RWD), Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) are currently in the process of transitioning from the COE/COS Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (MJNHMP) to join the Lane County 2023-2028 Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (MJNHMP). This transition will strengthen the overall collaboration and efficiency of planning for natural hazards that may impact our communities and services. Natural Hazard Mitigation Plans outline community risk to natural hazards and potential actions that can reduce risks to people, the environment, property, and the local economy BEFORE the next hazard strikes.
We estimate this survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Data from this survey directly informs the natural hazard planning process. Communities in Lane County use this survey data to enhance action item rationale and ideas for implementation. This survey also provides the above mentioned agencies with a better understanding of engagement strategies and desired individual and community strategies for risk reduction.
