The City of Eugene is exploring a pilot program to use safety cameras at a small number of high-crash intersections. The pilot would aim to reduce dangerous driving behaviors like speeding and running red lights to improve safety on Eugene's streets.

Installation of the cameras is not scheduled or funded. Before moving forward, staff from Public Works Engineering want to hear from the community and discuss the idea with City Council on November 18th.

Learn more about the City's approach to intersection safety cameras at City Council’s upcoming work session or read the Frequently Asked Questions. Then take the survey and let the City know your perspective.
