Where can I find what I'm looking for?

On the far right of the Bethel Area Neighborhood Planning page, you'll find the following information and resources:

    Advisory Meetings:

These are the upcoming community advisory committee meetings, and how to join them virtually if you can't attend in person. Each meeting takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. You can also confirm previous meeting dates.

    Community Information Sharing Sessions:

These sessions are for community members to meet with City staff and discuss specific topics related to the neighborhood. Each meeting has its own agenda with a presentation and time for feedback and dialogue about community concerns. You can join these sessions in-person or virtually, and if you miss a meeting, you can come back later to see the session's recording!

What questions can be answered at these meetings?

This depends on which City staff are in attendance at these meetings. The Office of Equity & Community Engagement hosts these meetings, and partners with various City departments and programs to provide specific, detailed information at each session. Each meeting will be catered to the expertise of the City staff in attendance, and you can get detailed answers to your questions as it relates to their department or program.

However, not every question can be answered at these meetings. For example, if the Planning department attends one meeting, they cannot answer questions on behalf of the Transportation department, and vice versa. For this reason, we encourage you to attend meetings that are most directly related to your interests, ideas, or concerns about the neighborhood.

Alternatively, you don't have to wait until the next community information session! If you are unable to attend our meetings, or if you have comments you'd like us to be aware of, you can submit your thoughts directly to us through the "Comments and Suggestions" bar above the interactive neighborhood map. Depending on your inquiry or comment, a member of the Office of Equity & Community Engagement will be in touch with you within 2-5 business days. If you don't hear back from us within that time, you are welcome to call or email us directly using the "Who's Listening?" section at the bottom left of our page.

    Documents:

The documents we provide here are meant to give an overview of community engagement guides, surveys, and reports that may be of interest to neighborhood residents. For your convenience, the documents may be organized into relevant folders so you can find what you need faster.

    Lifecycle:

This is a tracking tool of where the neighborhood is in its planning process. Feel free to check up on it to see any changes, when stages are complete, or what you can expect in coming months!

    Who's Listening?
